Pro Box North East would like to invite all media to attend a press conference ahead of the ‘Judgement Day’ professional boxing show, which takes place on Friday March 7 at the Rainton Meadows Arena (Houghton Le Spring, DH4 5PH).
The press conference will take place at 12.00pm on Thursday 20th February at the Rainton Meadows Arena and in attendance will be all boxers appearing on the forthcoming bill.
At the press conference there will be time for one-on-one questions with all fighters, as well as photo opportunities.
‘Judgement Day’ is headlined by Sunderland’s English lightweight champion Kirk Goodings who will make his first title defence against Fishburn’s Gary Fox. Chief support will feature Hartlepool’s Peter Cope in a British Masters title challenge.
Also appearing on the quality undercard will be Sunderland’s Jonson McClumpha; Easington’s Paul Archer; Gateshead’s Rob Ismay; Hartlepool’s Michael Hadfield; Northumberland’s Lewis Scott, and County Durham’s Tommy Ward.
“This headline fight between Goodings and Fox is a real 50-50 fight, “stated promoter Phil Jeffries. “Both lads are convinced they will win and I think it’s going to be a real war. The crowd are going to see a great fight and the rest of the undercard is quality.
“I’ve said before that I’m only interested in putting on competitive fights for the North East fans because they don’t deserve to see poor fights, or one-sided walkovers.
“All fans are also welcome to this press conference where they’ll be able to meet the fighters.”
