Fresh from claiming the World Boxing Council International Silver Super Flyweight Title, Sheffield’s Tommy Frank is looking forward to an exciting 2020.

Frank claimed the strap after a hard-fought 12-rounder against Thai opponent, Aran Dipaen at Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Arena on September 20.

The exciting contest was full of action, to and fro throughout, with both men having plenty of success.  Ultimately, at the final bell, Tommy had his glove raised after claiming a split-decision verdict.  The ringside judges from Spain and Germany scored it for Tommy, 116-113 and 115-113, while England’s Mark Lyson saw it 115-113 for Dipaen.

A week after the contest, we caught up with the fanatic Sheffield United supporter at his home to get some thoughts on the Dipaen fight, a future bout with rival Sunny Edwards, and a prediction on how he thinks the ‘Blades’ will fare this season in the Premiership.
