With three opponent changes in as many weeks, you could be forgiven for thinking Tommy Frank might be feeling a little unsettled ahead of his bill-topping appearance at Sheffield Arena on December 11 – the UK’s first ever drive-in boxing show.

The 27-year-old though is resolute in his mindset, as he now prepares to face Rosendo Hugo Guarneros for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) Inter-Continental Title, live on Eurosport.

Mexico’s Guarneros will be a good indicator of level for Frank, 13-0 (3).  The South American is known to British fight fans having shared a ring with Sunny Edwards in September last year; with Sheffield-based Edwards outpointing the tough guy over 10 rounds.

Guarneros, 30, has lost just four times in 23 outings and, with a reputation for typical Mexican aggression, will look to press Frank from the opening bell.  Ahead of the contest, ‘Super’ Tommy chats about facing the South American, and his hopes for next year:
