Scotland has produced some great fighters over the years.  Older fans will remember the great Ken Buchanan and Jim Watt, both lightweight world champions during the 70s and 80, while the likes of Scott Harrison and Ricky Burns have both risen to the top of the game in more recent years.

Today, there is also an excellent crop of young talent North of the Border.  Josh Taylor – the IBF Super Lightweight king – is currently rated as one of the best fighters in the world; and bantamweights Lee McGregor and Kash Farooq are both looking very special.

Eager to join that company is Macduff’s, Billy Stuart.  The 23-year-old has plenty of trophies on the mantlepiece from his amateur days when he won multiple titles, and boxed around the world.  Now a pro since 2017, the super bantamweight is currently undefeated at 10-0 (3), and ready to step up into title contention.

Recently signed by Dennis Hobson and Fight Academy, the former slaughterhouse worker – nicknamed ‘The Butcher’ – says he is ready to take on the likes of British Champion, Brad Foster, right now…
