Fight Academy serve up a lively night of fight action on Saturday November 19 from the Rotherham Magna Centre, with all the action broadcast live on boxing channel, Fightzone.
Topping the bill will be Ema Kozin defending her World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Super Welterweight Title against Germany’s Naomi Mannes.
Supporting slots go to Midlander Kirstie Bavington putting her European Welterweight belt on the line; Sheffield’s Perry Howe making the first defence of his WBF International Cruiserweight crown, while fellow big-punching Steel City fighter, Keanen Wainwright, will aim to pick up his first title with a shot at the WBF International Lightweight Title.
The rest of the undercard features a number of promising up-and-comers including Sheffield battlers Conner Daubney, Mason Dickson and Thomas Crowder; Liverpool’s Conor Butler, and Tyne and Wear’s Adam Hepple.
“We’re really pleased to be bringing an entertaining night of boxing back to Rotherham and the Magna Centre,” said promoter Dennis Hobson.
“Everyone knows that women’s boxing is rivalling the men’s game at the moment, and to have a world title fight and a European defence on the same show is pretty special. Both Ema and Kirstie are right up there at the top end of the female fight game, and both will be in exciting contests.
“Perry Howe is one of real success stories of 2022. He gave up his job to fully concentrate on boxing and has now picked up this WBF belt. I don’t know how far he can go in the sport but he’s getting better every fight, has a great fanbase and we’ll see where the journey takes him.
“It’s been a busy year, with a lot of hard work behind the scenes, but Fight Academy and Fightzone are still going strong,” reiterated Fight Academy’s Steve Crump. “This is another guaranteed good night of boxing and I’m really looking forward to seeing Keanen [Wainwright] back in action. He’s a huge puncher, is on a cracking roll and I truly believe he’s going to be a huge British star.”
